We are proud to host a live panel featuring former foster youth and advocates who have experienced sibling separation. They will share raw, honest accounts of what it is like to lose a sibling to the system and why fighting for these connections is critical to a young person’s identity and well-being.
Webinar Description:
Did you know that up to 75% of siblings in foster care are separated?
This April, the National Network for Fostering Sibling Connections is declaring the month as National Sibling Connections Awareness Month, and we are calling on advocates nationwide to take a stand. To kick off this historic movement, we invite child welfare professionals, advocates, and community members to join us for a powerful live webinar.
Sibling relationships are often the longest-lasting relationships in a person’s life. Yet, when youth enter the foster care system, these critical bonds are frequently severed due to systemic barriers, lack of resources, or oversight. The impact of this disconnection can lead to lifelong trauma and a profound sense of loss.
